| Abstract (English): | This contribution will first examine the elements that allow us to delineate the conceptual perimeter of modernity in the work of Michel de Certeau, emphasizing, secondly, the importance of the notion of production as elaborated by Marx. Finally, it will highlight the more properly committed aspects of his work and his reflection on modernity, showing how the "writing of modernity" --understood both in its dimension as a history of modernity and in its dimension as an analysis of the forms of writing characteristic of modernity-- constitutes an operation shaped by the political exigencies of its time. | Abstract (Spanish): | En esta contribución se examinarán, en primer lugar, los elementos que permiten delimitar el perímetro conceptual de la modernidad en la obra de Michel de Certeau, subrayando, en segundo lugar, la importancia de la noción de producción, tal como fue elaborada por Marx. Finalmente, se pondrán de relieve los aspectos más propiamente engagés de su trabajo y de su reflexión sobre la modernidad, mostrando que la "escritura de la modernidad" --entendida tanto en su dimensión de historia de la modernidad, como en su dimensión de análisis de la escritura propia de la modernidad-- constituye una operación atravesada por las exigencias políticas de su tiempo. | Abstract (Portuguese): | Nesta contribuição examinam-se, em primeiro lugar, os elementos que permitem delimitar o perímetro conceptual da modernidade na obra de Michel de Certeau, sublinhando, em segundo lugar, a importância da noção de produção, tal como foi elaborada por Marx. Por fim, destacam-se os aspetos mais propriamente engagés do seu trabalho e da sua reflexão sobre a modernidade, mostrando como a "escrita da modernidade" --entendida tanto na sua dimensão de história da modernidade como na sua dimensão de análise da escrita própria da modernidade-- constitui uma operação atravessada pelas exigências políticas do seu tempo.
