| Summary: | This paper presents some aspects of the history of the institutionalization of Paleontological sciences in Latin America, especially in Brazil and Argentine. Linking the development of these sciences to the institutional spaces of the museums, it points out the activities of National or European researchers -somewhat unknown-, who worked in these countries. It also deals with the scientific cooperation between Hermann von Ihering and Florentino Ameghino towards the construction of their theories on Patagonian Paleontology. |
