In this work we analyse, in the philosophical framework of positivism, the debate which happened between a philosopher, who was an orthodox representative of the Comtian thought and who pretended the role of the general science of mankind for the sociology, and a fellow from the Société d¹Anthropologie de Paris, who thought that this character belonged, more than another science, to the new Positive Anthropology, which in that time culminated in its institutionalisation process. |
