Summary:The main goal of this introductory paper is to present an analysis of the contributions of Psychology from the Spanish speaking world to the transcultural investigation. It tries to offer a comprehensive analysis of the research work made by other Hispanic countries that may enrich those realized in Spain, specifically on psychosocial activities. It is intended as well to clarify the conceptual framework for these kind of Social Psychology activities, and to examine the paradigms or approaches in which social study may be situated. Therefore, what has been said above has to be turned into a tool that could be applied to different cultures, like the one is presented in this report
