| Summary: | A review of evaluation systems and other related studies is realized in this paper. It starts with
an overall view of the main difficulties in the study of the evaluation of writing, and the importance
and usefulness that an evaluation sytem of writing has had in different areas of knowledge.
Subsequently, it analyses which is the object of evaluation of the different systems and what measures
are undertaken in the investigations of writing. In this respect, a model of the product of writing which
allows organization explains in an almost exhaustive manner the measures of the written product.
After summarizing the requirements that according to different authors an evaluation system of
writing should fulfill, the evaluation sytems are classified by defining their general characteristics or
the basis of whether the object of analysis is the process or the product of writing. At the same time,
different classifications of the evaluation systems of the written product, realized mainly in function of
the evaluation strategy, are explained. This review shows the lack of agreement among the different
authors in relation to the object and to the way of evaluation, as well as in the terminology used |
