emotion seems again to be related to relapses, independently of any other social or clinical factor
studied. A high level of the relatives� expressed emotion at the time of the patient�s admission,
remains as the best isolated predictor of symptomatic relapse during the next 9 months after the
discharge from hospital. Important addictive effects have been also reported on social influences and
pharmacological treatments, which enables us to predict relapsing patterns in schizophrenia with
notorious accuracy. These patterns are different for the 2 studied groups: patients with schizophrenic
psychosis and with depressive neurosis. |
